Winter is a shy, quiet very senior girl, who originally came from a horrible puppymill in Missouri. She has been in a wonderful home since then, but sadly her family fell on very hard times, and now is unable to keep her.  She does not relate well to people - expected, coming from a mill - and needs the company of another dog (older calmer male).

Ukko is a very handsome white mal. He is around 18 months old , and will need an active home - he is like the energizer bunny! He does well with female dogs (tho is rowdy!) and likes bigger kids. (Too rowdy for the little ones). He is a real sweetie, has the sweetest disposition in the world, but will need LOTS of exercise and patience - after all, he's only a pup! 

Sorsha is a full of life happy bouncy 18 month old female. She will need alot of attention and exercise :) Sorsha would be best as an only dog, she is not tolerant of most others. She can be pushy and a handful, she just needs someone with malamute experience to love her and teach her some manners.

Poor Jordan. He was adopted as a pup from a local animal shelter. His people kept him for over FOURTEEN YEARS, then moved and dumped him, without so much as a pat on the head good-bye for all those years of loyal friendship. So this poor old man was alone, left to spend a few days in a cage before being killed. We couldn't let that happen. ALL dogs deserve a good life, especially the seniors, who have loved their humans unconditionally their whole lives. They deserve a little kindness in their twilight. Jordan has a wonderful foster home, and foster Dad Mitch, where he can enjoy his old age.   

MAMA KIMMIE 

MAMA KIMMIE is a wonderful girl, about 2 years old. She is full of love and kisses. She is an escaper tho - and loves to run (and won't come back!) so she needs a very secure home and yard. She does well with other dogs, and people of all ages and sizes - she is a VERY sweet girl!

ADOPTION PENDING!

This sweet fellow is just a pup! He is about 8 months old, and loves everyone. He does well with other dogs, and even seems to be ok around dog-savvy cats. He is sweet as can be, very energetic, is housebroken, and learning the basics in obedience.

Several dozen malamutes were seized on neglect charges in South Dakota recently. Sonja is one of them. She is 2+ years old, and is the most introverted of the bunch, she is very withdrawn. All the dogs are in need of socialization, it is apparent they got NOTHING in their former place.  Physically they are coming along, but still need some emotional help.

Luna is an adorable pup that is probably more husky than mal - but what a sweetheart! She is good with other dogs, kids, and even cats! This baby is only 8-9 months old, and is waiting for a home to call her own!

Adonis is a very happy, sweet and a little shy male who is about a year old. He is great with people, and OK with female dogs too. This boy is as cute as they come! Adonis was picked up as stray, and he has no tail...we have no idea if he was born that way, or if someone cut it off when he was a baby :(

King is a very handsome young adult white male picked up as stray. He is about 18 months old, very sweet, and very rowdy! He would do well in an active adult home.

IGLOO is a very handsome 3-4 year old male. He is definitely all malamute in attitude, and would be perfect for a malamute experienced adult home. He does very well with other dogs, and would be a great working dog, sledding, hiking, weight pulling. 

BOZO is a gorgeous, but headstrong, 16 month old malamute. He is very big, and very strong, and likes to push peoples buttons! He will need a very malamute savvy adult only home with a very secure fence! BOZO has Lymes disease, and his treatment will cost over $400....can you help Bozo with a donation?

Cloud is a darling, and very overweight, 8-9 year old female. Classy Cloud is a dream with people, but is not at all fond of other dogs. She is currently having some medical problems (that may be associated with her weight) and needs further vet work before she can be adopted. 

Chief Johnny is as sweet as they come! This fellow came to us from a high kill shelter, and was just a bedragled mess, and acted much older than his age. But a bath and some TLC have this sweet fellow looking and feeling good! He is 3-5 years old, and very mellow and sweet.  He is quite a talker too!

NITRO came to us from a high kill shelter....we can't imagine why anyone would leave this sweet 12-18 month old boy behind! He loves to be around people, and is good with other dogs. He has alot of "puppy"still  in him, and is working on his training and manners :)

JACOB is a young bouncy pup, probably not much more than 12 months old. He came to us with the help of the wonderful volunteers at the pound where he was out of time. He has a great disposition, just wants to be loved! Like any pup, he'll need lots of exercise and some training. Look at this cutie!

This little pup has alot of personality! He is about 12-18 months old, and loves to jump and play like all pups do. He is smart as a whip, and with patience and training will be a great companion. So far he has done well with female dogs, and loves all people - tho like most pups may be too energetic for very small kids.

Arwen was pulled from a high kill pound in KY when she was out of time. She is a darling little girl, with a beautiful red coat, about 3-4 years old, and a wonderful companion - she adores the company of people and is very cuddly and snuggly. She does not care for the company of other dogs, and needs to be an only girl, and would love to be a spoiled princess!
