What Does Adopting from IAMRA Cost?

Rescue does not buy dogs or make money on our dogs.  Our average cost is well over $1000 per dog (vetting and boarding).  Our adoption fees cover less than a third of that amount.  The difference is made up in donations from the kind people who support rescue.

What Does It Cost?

As of October 1st, 2016 the adoption costs will be as follows:
Adult Dogs:
Puppies Under 12 Months
Seniors 8 Years and Over
$250.00
$300.00
$150.00
We will also require an additional $100 contract deposit, that will be refunded upon completion of contractual obligations associated with adoption. Payment for adoption and deposit can be made by cash, certified check, cashiers check or money order. Regrettably, we can no longer accept personal checks for adoptions.
Our dogs are fully vetted - current on all shots, heartworm negative and on year round preventative, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and any additional medical needs are taken care of prior to adoption.

When you compare adopting from rescue  to buying a dog elsewhere, and paying for all the vet costs yourself (on top of the price of the dog!)  you can see what a good deal rescue is:
Cost of Purebred Dog/Puppy
Series of puppy shots/deworming
Fecal, urinalysis, bloodwork, etc
Spay or Neuter
Annual Heartworm Test & Preventative
Flea/Tick preventative in summer months
Annual Rabies & DHLPP Shots
Microchip insertion and registration
